Introduction

Sahadeva is the younger of Madri's twin sons and the youngest of the five Pandavas. He is the son of the Ashvins by divine parentage.

Sahadeva was known for his learning and knowledge of the future. During the year at Virata's court, he served as a cowherd under the name Tantipala.

Sahadeva killed Shakuni, the architect of the dice game, in the war.

He married Draupadi, and later Vijaya, a princess of Madra. His son by Draupadi was Shrutasena, and by Vijaya, Suhotra.
