Introduction

Shrutashrava is the daughter of Shurasena, the sister of Vasudeva and Kunti, and the mother of Shishupala, the king of Chedi.

Family

The promise

When Shishupala's hostility to Krishna became clear, Shrutashrava asked Krishna to forgive his offences. Krishna agreed to forgive a hundred. At the Rajasuya, after the hundredth had passed, Krishna killed Shishupala.
