Introduction
Sulochana is the wife of Meghanada (Indrajit). She is a well-known figure in later regional Ramayana traditions and does not appear prominently in Valmiki.

In regional traditions
In several regional retellings, Sulochana learns of Indrajit's death and comes to see the head of her husband, brought by Lakshmana. She then chooses to die on his funeral pyre. In some versions she is a devotee of Rama, and Rama himself blesses her.
