Introduction

Subahu is a son of Shatrughna and Shrutakirti. He is not the same person as the Rakshasa Subahu whom Rama defeated in his youth.

Family

Ruler of Mathura

According to the Uttara Kanda, Shatrughna made Subahu ruler of Mathura, and his brother Shatrughati ruler of Vidisha, before he left to join Rama.
