Introduction

Amshuman is a king of Ayodhya, the son of Asamanjasa and the grandson of Sagara.

Family

Sagara sent Amshuman to look for his uncles. He found the horse and the ashes of the sixty thousand sons near the sage Kapila. Garuda told him that only the Ganga could purify the ashes. Amshuman tried to bring her down but did not succeed.
